F&M is the Grand Rapids Film Festival’s signature event that demonstrates how fashion and music are an integral part of the film industry. “F&M” stands for fashion and music for film. This event is hosted by The Waldron on Ionia Street on Friday, April 13 Doors at 7 PM, fashion show at 8 PM.
The program centers around six of the short films screening at the festival: Mino Bimaadiziwin, Lawman, A Whole World for a Little World, Nottingham, Novocain, The School of Honk. These films serve as inspiration for fashion studies students from Kendall College of Art and Design.
A total of 13 looks are designed and displayed on live models during this unconventional fashion show. Music from the shorts films also serve as a focal point. Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door
